MEET OUR FOUNDER
With two decades of experience coaching high-level basketball, Matt Heuser has honed his expertise in both grassroots and varsity basketball. As a dedicated educator, Matt's profound passion for the sport has driven him to work with diverse teams across various challenging conferences in Wisconsin. Now based in Georgia, Matt is committed to transforming the basketball landscape in the State.
Renowned for his profound understanding of basketball strategy, particularly in defensive tactics, Matt is widely recognized for his innovative defensive approach to the game. Notably, he led the Waukesha West boys varsity program to consecutive seasons as the top defensive team in the greater Milwaukee metro area. His strategic defensive system has consistently posed challenges for formidable opponents and attracted attention from college programs seeking to enrich their defensive strategies.

Matt's coaching journey began with grassroots coaching in Madison, Wisconsin, with the Wisconsin Force. Subsequently, he transitioned into teaching and coaching roles at Homestead High School in Mequon, Wisconsin, where he achieved remarkable success, including leading the JV boys to a conference victory and rebuilding the girls' basketball program into a competitive force.
At Waukesha West High School, Matt played a pivotal role in the resurgence of the varsity basketball program, guiding the team to notable achievements and fostering the development of several college-bound athletes. Matt then went on to serve as the varsity assistant at Kettle Moraine High School, Matt continues to excel in talent identification and player development, empowering student-athletes to reach their full potential on and off the court.
Throughout his career, Matt has maintained strong relationships with college basketball programs, facilitating opportunities for student-athletes to pursue higher education while excelling in basketball. His dedication to education and mentorship extends beyond the court, emphasizing the importance of personal growth and academic excellence. Matt has helped place several players in his twenty years into college and continue to play at the collegiate level.
In addition to his coaching and teaching endeavors, Matt has excelled as a nationally known and recognized scout and as the founder of Swish, a premier scouting service based in Atlanta, GA. Leveraging his extensive experience in talent evaluation and his vast network within the basketball community, Matt is poised to elevate aspiring athletes and promote excellence in basketball nationwide with connections to hundreds of schools.
